  • Hari Raya Party

Eid ul-Fitr (a celebration to mark the end of the fasting month, Ramadan) and Eid ul-Adha are joyous times for Muslims. Melayu UK organises Eid parties on these occasions..

  • Perhimpunan Keluarga

We organise Perhimpunan Keluarga to enable members and their family to get together for a few days for socialising. Perhimpunan Keluarga is also packed with various activities such as archery, orienteering, tog-o-war, pioneering and BBQ. Children who have been to Perhimpunan Keluarga still have vivid memories of the enjoyment that they experienced during their childhood years.

MISG-ABIM Donates Iqra' books

MISG-ABIM UK & Eire donated 10 Iqra' books (fast method to read the Quran) to the Cheshire Unit Keluarga. A brief ceremony was held on 4th August 2007, on the second day of Melayu UK annual Perhimpunan Keluarga, where Qurratul Akyun Daud (Secretary) handed over the books to Yaqub Allen, head of the Cheshire Unit Keluarga. MISG-ABIM has also pledged to assist our Unit Keluarga.

Unit Keluarga is the social network of Melayu UK where members in the region get together at regular intervals. Apart from strengthening the brotherhood and sisterhood amongst themselves, members of Unit Keluarga can also increase their Islamic knowledge through discussions held at their meetings. This will be of great benefit to our members, especially those who live away from Malay / Muslim community and also those who need to equip themselves in order to teach their children at home. An online resource is currently being built to assist our Unit Keluarga.
